Job Summary: Sales Engineers are the trusted voice of the practitioner in the sales process. Sales Engineers typically have deep cybersecurity background and domain knowledge and work to translate complex cybersecurity concepts, practices and procedures, into the PlexTrac platform. Sales Engineers will commonly run demonstrations both in person and online during the sales process. They will also be the voice of the prospect in communicating development requirements to the PlexTrac development team. At times, Sales Engineers will also be asked to speak at conferences, develop white papers and case studies and submit papers to conferences. The Sales Engineer is part of the sales department and reports to the VP of Sales.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Support sales executives with solution selling into prospect account base
  • Partner with sales executives to plan, prepare, and execute on strategic deals in complex sales cycles
  • Successfully match customer pain points/requirements to proposed solutions
  • Create and deliver powerful presentations and demos that clearly communicate the uniqueness of the value proposition
  • Manage all technical aspects of RFP / RFI responses
  • Effectively communicate client needs to the Development teams for future product enhancements
  • Collect and document competitive intelligence


Qualifications:

  • Deep cybersecurity domain knowledge and experience
  • Ability to forge strong, long-lasting relationships with senior executives
  • Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy to understand manner
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation and creativity skills
